Village Walk. Arumeru River Lodge is an integrated part of the Usa River Village Community. Get a flavor of the “Real Africa” just a few footsteps behind our beautiful Lodge gardens visiting the Usa River Children Center the small Village Clinicof Dr. Charles, or the Rehabilitation Center for physically disabled children. This walk goes beyond the Lodge and Safari car experience. It will take you right into the everyday reality of African life beyond the scenes. Be prepared to pass by burning litter. But also be prepared for friendly people that keep their incredible optimism under circumstances that we might consider as hard to bear. Get an insight into some grass root initiatives like the Children Center and the Village Clinic which are funded and supported by private initiatives far away from global humanitarian funds but very close to the people here. |
